Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Please read and follow these guidelines before submitting your manuscript.

Core Manuscript Requirements

  • File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.

  • Article Length: Articles should be between 5,000 and 10,000 words, including all text, the structured abstract, references, tables, and appendices. (Allow 250 words per figure or table).

  • Article Title: Must be concise and clearly worded.

Author Details and Ethics

  • Author Details: List all contributors in the Online Journal System submission system, in the order they should appear in the publication. Provide the full name, preferred institutional email address, and affiliation where the research was conducted.

  • Authorship: Only authors who made a significant contribution should be listed. Others who provided support should be mentioned in the Acknowledgements section.

  • Research Funding: All external funding sources may be referenced in the Acknowledgements, describing the funder's role in the research process.

Article Structure

  • Structured Abstract: Maximum 250 words (including keywords and classification).

  • Keywords: Include up to 6 relevant and short keywords.

Formatting and Figures

  • Headings: First-level headings should be bold; subsequent sub-headings should be in medium italics.

  • Notes/Endnotes: Use only if absolutely necessary. Identify in the text with consecutive numbers in square brackets [1] and list at the end of the article.

  • Figures and Plates: Submit electronically at the highest possible resolution. Accepted formats: .ai, .eps, .jpeg, .bmp, .tif. Number figures consecutively with Arabic numerals (Figure 1, 2, etc.) and photographs as Plate 1, 2, etc. All must have a clear caption and necessary credit/attribution.

  • Tables: Should be submitted in a separate file. Number them consecutively with Roman numerals (e.g., Table I, II, etc.) and provide a brief title.

  • Supplementary Files: Additional content not critical to the reader's understanding can be hosted alongside the article (or in a trusted repository). These must be submitted as separate files, mentioned in the main text, and styled/formatted correctly as they will not be copy-edited by the journal.
